What is Crisis Response?

Resilient Minds Crisis Response provides 24/7 emergency support and care for children in transition. Whether a child has been recently removed from their home, is awaiting placement, or has run away, we offer a safe, compassionate environment to ensure they are cared for during uncertain times.

Balancing responsibilities while ensuring a child’s safety is challenging. Our Crisis Response provides immediate, trusted care, giving FCMs peace of mind to focus on their work, knowing children are safe and supported.

Where?

Children can be dropped off at our facility or picked up from your DCS office for immediate care.

Who?

Children in transition face fear, uncertainty, and trauma. Our Crisis Response provides a caring, supportive environment where they receive one-on-one attention, comfort, and engaging activities—instead of waiting alone in an office. This service helps ease their pain and create a sense of stability during a difficult time.

When

Our services are available day and night, providing meals, activities, hygiene care, and a safe place to rest. Overnight stays include a warm, clean space to sleep, with referrals accepted until Midnight—please call before then for assistance.

Follow These Steps

How To
Get Started

  • Call 317-207-2288 or 317-295-6700 to schedule a pickup or drop-off.
  • Save these numbers under “Crisis Response” for quick access.
  • Contact: Rose Goodman, Tracey Lynch, or Joel Shumate.
  • Enter the referral under:
    RESILIENT MINDS > Marion County > HBCW > Crisis Response > Enhanced Services
  • Include all pertinent information about the child. 
  • List “Tracey Lynch” on the referral for quick processing.
  • Day Services: Referral must be submitted within 2 hours.
  • Overnight Services: Referral must be received by 10 AM.
  • We will store the child’s personal belongings safely.
  • The child will receive assessments, meals, and emotional support.
  • Contact us when you’re ready for pickup, and we’ll have them prepared.

Referral must be for a bachelor’s level professional.

Ensure the referral includes permission for more than 8 hours.
